Corvette Description
1967 Rally Red Corvette L36
Rally Red w/Black interior, L36 427/390hp Powerglide automatic transmission.
Coming into the last year of production on the second-generation Corvette, there were a lot of different ways to option out one back in the day!
Engine choices were plentiful and diverse. Anything from the base 327ci small block putting out a very respectable 300hp all the way up to the ultra-rare and legendary 427ci L88 big block putting out 500 plus hp! But in between, those two were some very exciting choices. For instance, if you checked RPO L36, you go a 427 with 390hp and hydraulic lifters, which made if a bit more user friendly. This was an all-new engine offered for the first time in ’67. There were a number of changes and improvements made in ’67, which is why it’s still considered one of the best Corvettes ever built!
The 2 owner ’67 featured here has a very interesting story (we all love a good Corvette story!). Sold new in Victoria B.C. It is believed to be the very first Corvette sold in that province! And because it was a Canadian car, it comes with great GM of Canada docs, as well as a Protect-O-Plate! It’s equipped with the L36 427 mated up to a Powerglide automatic, which makes it quite a rare piece!
The car has undergone a frame-on restoration, which included new paint, engine rebuild, exhaust, and much more. The result was rewarded with an N.C.R.S. Regional Top Flight Award on 10/22. Options include power 4-wheel disc brakes, power steering, telescoping steering column, rebuilt factory am/fm radio Rally wheels wrapped in red line tires, and both hard and soft tops! It’s a great driver and a Corvette you would enjoy driving daily, if desired.
