Over almost a decade and a half, the C3 underwent many changes. It went from being an all-out brute of a muscle car to slowly evolving into a more refined GT car. And the ’82 drove that point home with the introduction of electronic fuel injection for the first time in a Corvette and the lack of a manual transmission option for the first time since ’54. This was a cruiser Corvette that had all the creature comforts of a luxury car, but still packed a decent punch and could outhandle just about anything on the market at the time.
